About Us

We have been involved with Dobermans since the early 1970’s when we lived in Florida, and competed in AKC Novice obedience with our four Dobes. In 1985, we moved to Boise, Idaho to further pursue our “other passion”, falconry. There, Jill competed with our red male, Jeb, and achieved his CDX and UD….what a thrill that first UD title was!

Another move came in 1990, this time to Nebraska, again because of the falconry. By then, we had also become involved with German Shorthaired Pointers and English Setters, competing with them in breed and obedience, earning a CH and another UD, as well as utilizing them as hunting dogs with the falcons.

While showing our dual-purpose Shorthairs, Jill decided that the breed ring was also fun, and wanted a Doberman that could excel in obedience and also be competitive in conformation. Our search took us to Julie & Mark Stade of BJF Dobermans who had the perfect puppy for us - Dillin. The rest - as they say - is history! Dillin went on to become the only H.O.T. (Handler-Owner Trained) AKC CH SchH3 WD3 UD Doberman.

As we became more involved with the sport of Schutzhund, we got two wonderful girls from Ray Carlisle, Addie and River. We also co-own Connor (a handsome Dillin son) and Piper (a Dillin granddaughter) with Mark and Julie Stade.
